New for 2018
Core Offroad Events are pleased to confirm our new sponsor for the 2018 season is the Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre. DTHORC are headed by 4 x World Motocross Champion, Dave Thorpe and assisted by professional Enduro racer, Alex Snow and professional motocross racer, Luke Hawkins.
Alex Snow is Buildbase Honda’s British Championship Enduro rider and a great addition to their professional and experienced coaching team. Alex coaches all Enduro Competition Training events and will be on hand to pass on his professional tips & advice at various CORE Day in the Dirt events throughout 2018.
We had been looking into various ways of running top quality enduro rider training this year and we don’t think you will find a higher standard than this anywhere in the country.
The DTHORC offer high quality off-road training days for all levels of rider from beginner to championship level. Check out their website here
They are intending to run their training school days at most of our Day in the Dirt events in 2018 with 16 places per course and two groups of 8 riders. One will run in the morning of the event and a second one in the afternoon. For the other half of the day the school riders get to ride at the Core practice day for free, making the £50.00 tuition session excellent value for such high-quality rider training. Riders use their own bikes but get the opportunity to have a ride on the new Honda CRF 450 RX enduro weapon.
In return DTHORC are sponsoring all 9 classes of our 5 round 2018 Core Enduro Championship, providing trophies and some great prizes for all podium finishers in the championship in all classes.
They have generously agreed to provide the following prizes for the final championship positions:-
1st Enduro Competition Training day (value of £99.00) and a set of Alpinestar Racer kit (value of £135.00) Jersey & Pants
2nd £50.00 DTHORC voucher and a set of Metzeler tyres (value of £95.00)
3rd £25.00 DTHORC voucher and a bag of Rock Oil goodies
This equates to over £4000.00 worth of prizes and trophies!
Surely a championship worth fighting for?
They will make their first appearance with us at our practice day on 1 April. Their stand will be on site all day where riders will be able to chat to Alex and the crew and get information about their courses and book in for future courses if they wish.
(The availability of Dave and Alex will change throughout the year depending on their racing commitments).
Any rider attending one of their courses at a Core Day in the Dirt event also gets to ride the Core track at no extra charge making £50.00 for top quality enduro training excellent value.
